Recently awarded the Credentialed Career Manager (CCM) Designation
from Career Management Alliance, USA
Daisy is a Career Development Practitioner and founder of The
Wright Career Solution a
full-service career transition firm. She provides job search coaching
(resume development, interview preparation, career transition) to individuals
within Canada, the US and to international clients. For
individuals in career transition, she
assists them in developing
positive career management skills, improve their employability and
enhance their self-esteem. Her positive "can do" approach inspires
others to regain confidence in themselves, take a leap of faith,
and confidently move forward.
Daisy holds a BA from Ryerson University, a
Post-graduate Diploma in Career Development from Conestoga College
and was recognized by the College
as “A Graduate of Distinction”. She is the Career Advisor
for CBC Radio Canada International's The Link, Career
Professionals of Canada, as well as TorontoJobs.ca.
Her corporate background includes
a stint with the United Nations in New York, an
assignment that contributed tremendously to her ability to
understand and work with people from a variety of cultures.
She is a former instructor in the
Faculty of Business at Sheridan College where she taught Business
Communication among other courses.
Daisy's work
has been featured in several renowned resume and career books, and
has been profiled in the
Spotlight on Communicators section of the college text book,
Business Communication: Product & Process, which also
includes Oprah, Michael Dell, Diane Sawyer, Colin Powell, among
others. She is the
author of "No Canadian
Experience, Eh? A Career Survival Guide for New Immigrants", a
first-of-its kind book dedicated to Internationally-Educated
Professionals moving to Canada.
She
has been quoted in Canada’s the Globe & Mail, Toronto Star,
Brampton Guardian, Share Community Newspaper, Caribbean Camera,
Job Boom, South Asian Focus, The Brampton News and several other
news media.
She keeps abreast of trends in the career field by attending
industry conferences and workshops and maintaining membership in
professional organizations such as Career Management Alliance,
Career Directors International and Career Professionals of Canada.
She is
the Canadian Liaison for WECAI (Women's E-Commerce Association
International), and is a member of the Public Relations and
International Committees of Career Directors International.
