In a coaching session yesterday (2:30 pm to be exact), a client exclaimed, “I just had an epiphany! I believe I know where I want to go now!”
I had to capture the moment in writing for this post!!
We have met over several sessions, during which she has engaged in deep introspection, discussing her thoughts, concerns, and aspirations.
The process involved a comprehensive examination of her skills, interests, and values, coupled with assessments designed to provide a holistic understanding of her professional identity.
She also mentioned that “getting the 360 feedback gave me a good idea of what people think about me, and that was great!”ย (This is the 360Reach Personal Branding tool developed by William Arruda). ๐๐ฝ
These dialogues and assessments collectively became the catalyst for her moment of clarity.
The epiphany was not a sudden revelation but rather the culmination of a journey, marked by self-discovery and the exchange of ideas.
As a management consultant looking to get back into corporate, she discovered a newfound sense of purpose and direction, realizing where her true passions lie and the kind of impact she wants to make in her professional life.
She is no longer looking at job titles, but at challenges she wants to solve. (Your language JP Michel).
Our work continues!
Career change takes time. Sometimes some of us coaches work quietly behind the scenes to make a difference! There may be a session or two when it appears like nothing is happening, then poof! Suddenly there’s an epiphany!
Whether you are a coach or a client, have patience. Stick to the plan. Your time is coming.
