A nice way to start my vacation!
I donโt always ask for testimonials from clients, preferring to wait until they offer one. This time, I asked because the transformation was so obvious. He sent one paragraph, and based on what he wrote, I asked if he could expand on it so I could use it as a case study.
Context:
This client, a physiotherapist, was not getting job interviews, and when he did, he was not getting offers. After a few coaching sessions, we identified some of the obstacles he was facing, and set to work. Here’s what he wrote:
“I must express my immense gratitude for the exceptional support I received during my job search journey. From our very first session, Daisy’s commitment to helping me achieve my goals was evident. She skillfully pointed out the shortcomings in my existing documents while also highlighting their positive aspects. We expanded on my professional accomplishments, and she shared invaluable insights into what employers are seeking in today’s job market.
The notes I took during our conversations will now guide me in my present and future endeavors. For instance, as a physiotherapist with a mere 67 LinkedIn contacts at the time, I was unsure about the platform’s importance. The significance of building a robust LinkedIn network became abundantly clear after our sessions.
Daisy also gave homework assignments. She sent me a follow-up email containing a questionnaire to reflect on my accomplishments in preparation for the development of my professional resume and cover letter. Within a short time, and based on the new information I submitted to her, I received an updated resume and cover letter that perfectly aligned with the position I was seeking. With these refined documents, I applied for several positions, even reapplying for one I had my eye on. The results were nothing short of astonishing โ two interview calls within a week and, ultimately, two job offers.
After careful consideration, I respectfully declined one of the job offers, opting for the position that I desired the most.
