The image might not be pretty, but the message – “I feel like an Executive” – is. That’s the highlight of a client’s email a few days ago. The question, “Is this me on paper?” is a culmination of months of dedicated and collaborative work!
Sometimes it seems that the work we are doing isn’t connecting until moments like these!
After reading her email, I took some time to reflect on our work together, and on career coaching in general.
Even though each client is different, and the points below don’t necessarily apply to all clients, there are commonalities:
βWhen someone is guided through the ππ¬π¬ππ¬π¬π¦ππ§π process – uncovering core values, interests, strengths and personal branding, it allows them to see the impact of what reflection and self-discovery can unearth, and they can witness their own transformation.
π―Collaborating with clients to ππ₯ππ«π’ππ² π π¨ππ₯π¬ and envision their future highlights the value of having a vision of where they want to go. This clarity will drive career success.
π‘When it comes to the ‘ππ‘π’ π¦π¨π¦ππ§ππ¬, this emphasizes the significance of insightful coaching β asking the right questions and listening. These are the times that trigger personal revelations.
π€―Itβs not always easy to have a π¦π’π§ππ¬ππ π¬π‘π’ππ, moving from how things are to whatβs possible. This underscores the power of ditching negative self-talk and limiting beliefs and enter a world of possibilities.
πIn this clientβs case, recognizing her strengths and πππ‘π’ππ―ππ¦ππ§ππ¬ empowered her to embrace her potential and envision whatβs possible. This also served as a confidence booster.
πΌFor her to say, she βfeels like an executiveβ is a π―ππ₯π’ππππ’π¨π§ of her progress as well as the tangible outcomes of our collaborative efforts.
Sheβs ready to become an πππ (Assistant Vice President), when the opportunity comes!
Those are the reasons I love what I do!
